Upper control arm sourcing for factory quotes

Armbrook Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for automotive suspension control arm assemblies and bushing kits. We do not sell from stock and do not claim factory ownership. Define vehicle application, order unit and US destination so comparable factory quotes can be requested.

Fitment information to supply for an upper control arm

  1. Vehicle and engine

Record model year, make, model and engine code, then mark anything still unresolved. A matching silhouette is not vehicle fitment. Keep chassis identifiers with the inquiry so a control arm manufacturer can answer against one application instead of a generic catalog line.

  2. Position and interface

Confirm front or rear axle, left/right orientation, upper or lower mounting position, mounting hole spacing in millimetres, bushing bore diameter and whether a ball joint is preinstalled. Thread pitch on any stud must be copied from the drawing or a measured sample, not guessed from a photograph.

  3. Quantity and packing

State pieces, pairs, axle sets or kits and list included hardware. A control arm bushing kit for one arm is not comparable with a full-axle pack. Separate new versus remanufactured supply, including any core charge, before treating two unit prices as the same packing unit.

  4. Destination and timing

Provide destination ZIP code and a requested delivery window. Incoterms, freight, taxes and sample approval dates stay on the quotation. Timing written here is a buyer request, not a promised lead time from Armbrook Sourcing.

How a sourcing request moves forward

Requirement and confirmation ledger
Decision point Buyer / supplier question
Clarify Resolve part reference, vehicle fitment, mounting position and order unit. Ask whether the quoted arm is a control arm assembly with joints and bushings or a bare forging that still needs those pieces.
Request Ask suppliers for drawings, material grade, surface finish and a contents list on the same packing unit. Sample approval and batch traceability should be named as open items, not assumed from a brochure.
Review Compare sample terms, documents and total cost on one Incoterms basis. Warranty scope, gross package weight and supplier declaration belong to the named item, not to the product family.
Confirm Record the accepted specification, substitutions refused and each party’s delivery responsibility. Armbrook Sourcing coordinates the file; the supplier confirms production scope.

Evidence to request, not claims to assume

  1. Part identity

Ask for model-specific drawings, catalog references and interface details tied to the OE reference used for identification. Do not treat a third-party brand name as authorization for Armbrook Sourcing or the supplier.

  2. Supply condition

Clarify new versus remanufactured condition, core charge rules and whether bushings are pressed in. A cheaper line item is not comparable if one quote omits joints.

  3. Order evidence

Ask for sample scope, batch identifiers and packing details. Sample approval on one arm does not automatically cover the next production lot; record the check that will be repeated.

  4. Quote boundaries

Confirm validity, freight, taxes, service scope and exclusions. Target budget may be given in USD per piece or as a total order, with a buyer preference for high-end, mid-range, budget or undecided suppliers.
